Universal Pictures just released the trailer for Up To You. Jordan Peelescience fiction epic, nope. nope hit theaters back in July and was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $171 million on a $68 million budget, and was presented in multiple categories at the 2023 Academy Awards. movie stars Daniel Kaluuya as well as Keke Palmer as brother and sister to a Hollywood horse training team who set out to record footage of what they believe to be a UFO.
New trailer for nope definitely edited differently than previous trailers for the third Saw movie. It’s more like a drama with hints of sci-fi, while the movie itself and the initial trailers showcase a sci-fi horror story with tons of humor. The new trailer starts with Michael Wincottthe character delivers his Purple Man-Eater speech in front of the other three main characters.
This speech becomes the backdrop for the rest of the trailer, as Wincott’s voice-over is heard while other images from the film flash across the screen, as well as quotes from critics. trailer takes nope and turns it into something that the Academy would really like, which would possibly improve the film’s chances of getting a nomination. The trailer ends with the words “For your consideration in all categories.”
nope was released on VOD on August 26, just over a month after its release in theaters. The film was released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 25 and was made available to stream on Peacock on November 18. Peel’s directorial debut Get out, won the 2018 Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and was nominated for three more nominations, including Best Picture of the Year. Only time will tell if nope will follow in Get outSteps.
