With the first season Andor in closing, fans are probably asking themselves when is the next time star Wars will grace their screens. Until the animated series bad batch technically the next to be released on Disney+ on January 4th, the next live action project to be released will be the first Disney+ star Wars series The Mandalorian. Until now, all fans have had to proceed from the vague idea that the series will be released in 2023, but at the Brazilian Comic-Con Experience, the producers of the series John Favreau as well as Dave Filoni and star of the show Pedro Pascal were ready to announce that The Mandalorian Season 3 will premiere on March 1, 2023.

Anticipation for a Disney+ flagship series has been at its peak ever since Lucasfilm released the first teaser for The Mandalorian Season 3 at Star Wars Celebration in the spring. The teaser showed the titular Mando Din Djarin (Pascal/Brendan Waynelisten)) reunited with his adopted son Grog after the events Boba Fett book, in which Grogu rejected the ways of the Jedi and returned to Mando’s side.

Now back together, the Clan of the Two appears on their way to Mandalore, where they are reunited with old ally Bo-Katan Kryze (Katie Sackhoff), whose eyes and desires were directed towards the return of the legendary Darksaber, now in the possession of Dean, which, according to Mandalorian lore, gives the owner the right to rule all of Mandalore.

Dean will also have a personal mission this season, as his last encounter with the Gunslinger (Emily Swallow) ended up being called an apostate and told that he was no longer a Mandalorian, all because of the sin of removing his helmet. He was told that the only way to redeem himself was in the living waters beneath the mines on Mandalore. Although Dean points out that they have been destroyed, his return to the devastated planet means that he probably hasn’t given up hope yet.

Along with Pascal, Wayne, Sackhoff and Swallow, the third season will see the return of Carl Weathers like Grif Karga, Paul Sung-hyun Lee like Carson Teva, Omid Abtahi as clone engineer Dr. Pershing and Amy Sedaris like the Tatooine mechanic Sang the Motto. Since it looks like Dean is heading back to Tatooine to see Peli, it’s worth wondering if the third season could see a cameo from local crime lord Mos Espa with hearts of gold, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Fenech Shand (Ming-Na Wen). They are close enough to Dean to call him as a last resort. It would be polite if he popped in for a drink while he was in town.

The Mandalorian The third season will release on Disney+ on March 1, 2023. Watch the trailer below:
