Following a recently released teaser that gave viewers their first glimpse of Harrison Ford as well as Helen Mirren in action in 1923, Paramount+ has released the full trailer for the Dutton Manor War. The action takes place 40 years after James and Margaret Dutton (Tim McGraw as well as Faith Hill) founded the Yellowstone Ranch in Montana, Jacob and Kara Dutton of Ford and Mirren are now leading the family through Prohibition and into the Great Depression. Between the rise of cattle rustling and other crimes in the American West, and the forces of history that threaten them, the Duttons will have to fight for their land and keep their family together through hardship.
The trailer begins by introducing the key threat to the Duttons, Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton), the new owner of nearby Stafford Ranch and a ruthless, wealthy man who wants the entire valley to be his. However, Kara and Jacob are not interested in giving it to him without a fight. The Duttons are willing to go to war against Whitfield if it means protecting the family and their ranch. As they wage their war, we get to know the world beyond Yellowstone, filled with decadence, war, and more. With all the competing interests in the American West, all Jacob wants is for his family to be safe and the world around him to be afraid of him.
Mirren and Ford will lead the Dutton family in a cast that also Sebastian Roche, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Jennifer El, Amina Nives, Julia Shlepfer, Brandon Sklenaras well as Robert Patrick. Taylor Sheridan back in the saddle as a series writer with John Linson, Art Linson, David S. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yarias well as Ben Richardson also on board as executive producers.

1923 it is the second spin-off prequel to a major parent series yellowstone which expanded into its own TV universe of spin-offs and prequels about the Dutton family and their closest allies. The series, directed by Ford and Mirren, follows the series directed by McGraw and Hill. 1883 which chronicles the family’s journey to the West in search of a new home. This prequel also has its own spin-off in the form of 1883: The Bass Reeves Story which tells the story of the first black Deputy U.S. Marshal in the American West, with Sheridan directing a couple of episodes. Rounding out the list of spin-offs is the upcoming Paramount Network series. Yellowstone: 6666 based on the legendary real-life Four Sixes Ranch in Texas.
With an all-star cast, as usual for a franchise, 1923 aiming for more massive ratings for Paramount. Its parent series has been a relentless ratings over the past few seasons. Now in the middle of season 5 yellowstone continues to set records for the number of views. The recent premiere broke records with 12.1 million viewers on the Paramount Network, surpassing even Dragon Houselong-awaited HBO debut.
