Just in time for the holidays, Marvel Studios is bringing us something special, and what a blessing to have Guardians in it. James Gunn directing this feature. Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Edition also makes an actor Kevin Bacon An MCU canon that fans have been wondering about ever since his name was mentioned in the original movie. Before the new film debuts on Disney+, to the delight of millions of fans, the studio released a new music video featuring the actor. In a short cutscene, we see Bacon aboard the Guardian spaceship with Drax (Dave Batista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff). In a serene moment, Bacon looks out to the galaxy and says, “Wow! Right now, for some reason, I feel really good about all this,” perhaps referring to my own kidnapping. But Drax doesn’t seem to be very happy with this adventure, as he quipped, “We hate you.”
In the upcoming movie, we see Drax and Mantis arrive on Earth to find Bacon as they plan to hand over Peter Quill aka Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), which lacks Gamora (Zoe Saldana), a surprise for Christmas. The previously shown trailers give us a glimpse of their adventures on earth, and from the looks of it, this feature is going to be fun and Christmassy! The first reaction to the holiday issue calls it “soulful holiday”. Given Gunn’s penchant for all things absurd and colorful, this feature will be the holiday gift that fans have been waiting for. This will certainly serve as a harbinger of what is to come. Guardians of the Galaxy 3. This feature was written by Gunn in just three days and includes some amazing musical numbers (another mixtape in the works!)
Considering the director’s new role at DC Studio as co-chairman and CEO, this is his second and final role in the MCU. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 which releases on May 5, next year will mark his departure from Marvel for the foreseeable future. The film will also advance a chapter on his ragtag band of galactic misfits. Along with Bautista, Pratt, Klementieff and Bacon return in a holiday special Karen Gillan like a nebula VIN diesel like Groot, Sean Gunn like Kraglin, Michael Rooker like Yondu and Bradley Cooper like Rocket Raccoon while new member Maria Bakalova voices Cosmo Space Dog.
