Recently, the crypto world and the international financial markets in general were swept by a wave of turmoil when news broke of the rapid collapse of FTX, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange platforms. Given the colossal amount of customer money lost, the FTX collapse was one of the biggest financial scandals of our time, and it’s no wonder Hollywood is determined to weigh in on the fiasco. The FTX implosion scenario series is being developed at Prime Video in collaboration with Russo Brothers as well as David Weil (Hunters) collaborated on production according to a Variety report.
Weil will provide the script for the show’s pilot episode, which currently consists of eight parts. Joe as well as Anthony Russo will stand behind the cameras to direct the project as directors. In addition, the trio will serve as executive producers. Nothing is yet known about the show’s storyline, but reports say it may be based on insider reports from journalists who have followed the now-defunct company over the years since its founding in 2019. The limited series from Russo looks set to be one of the many screen treatments the infamous scandal will receive.
