Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was on the rise at San Diego Comic-Con, as the upcoming action-adventure based on the cult tabletop role-playing game gave event attendees a first look at the cast in full. This isn’t the only revelation of what’s going on, as a brand new poster for the film has surfaced online.

The poster can be found on the official Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves A Twitter page featuring a gigantic rendition of the classic. Dungeons and Dragons illuminated by golden illumination. At the bottom of the logo are the five characters from the film, silhouetted against a blazing golden light. Thanks to revealing the appearance of the characters, today we can find out who each silhouette represents. From left to right, the poster shows an armored Paladin played by Rare Jean Page, Sophia Lillis like a horned druid, Chris Pine with his lute, which any good bard must fasten securely to his back, an ax-wielding barbarian Michelle Rodriguezand the magic sorcerer played by Justice Smith. The only star missing from this cast is Hugh grantwho was previously shown as a wealthy aristocrat who is to be the film’s main villain.

While all of this new information, such as a look at the characters and this new poster, keeps fans looking forward to the D&D film adaptation, the film’s finer details are still being kept under wraps. What we know about the upcoming film can be found in an interview with Pine conducted by Collider magazine. Steve Weintraub back in March. In an interview, Pine recalled many of the other cornerstones of fantasy, saying that it’s a mixture of the franchise and films such as Game of Thrones, princess brideand “slightly” Monty Python and the Holy Grail, a combination of tones that any good campaign should have. “It is very funny. It has a lot of thrills. boobies there,” Pine said.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves revealed its name back in April of this year, an announcement that took a big step forward for the project after a turbulent production history. In 2013, the film was at the center of a lawsuit between Warner Bros. Pictures and Hasbro when both companies began producing adaptations of the popular game. The companies began working on the film together until Hasbro handed production over to Paramount Pictures in 2017 as we know it today. It was originally planned to be released in 2021 due to a desire to avoid other popular releases as well as the COVID-19 pandemic. It was also announced at SDCC 2022 that the upcoming movie will also get its own toy line in the spring of 2023, with pre-orders going live today.

Other actors in the film include Chloe Coleman as well as Daisy Head. Film director Jonathan Goldstein as well as John Francis Daleywho also worked as screenwriters with Michael Gilio. The plot of the film was written by Giglio and Chris McKay. Pine, Goldstein and Daly also serve as executive producers along with Denis L. Stewart, Zev Foremanas well as Greg Muradian. Jeremy Latcham, Brian Goldneras well as Nick Meyer produce.
