Fuel prices have been declining in recent weeks, but now the trend has reversed. This is bad news for drivers. E-petrol.pl reports that a liter of 95 octane petrol has risen in price this week by PLN 0.3 and currently costs an average of PLN 6.52. For the first time since the beginning of February, the retail price list provided by e-petrol.pl recorded an increase in diesel fuel prices.
This week, unleaded petrol 95 cost PLN 6.47/l (0.3 PLN/l less than a week ago), unleaded 98 – 7.07 PLN/l (-0.3 PLN/l), diesel 6, PLN 06/l (-PLN 11/l). , autogas - PLN 2.98/l (-PLN 2/l) - calculated by the Reflex brokerage.
The weakening of the zloty against the dollar affects prices
“There is still a fairly large spread in prices for individual fuels, reaching PLN 0.50 per liter, but the minimum fuel prices remained at the level recorded in the previous week, i.e. for diesel fuel - PLN 5.87 / l, and for petrol Pb 95 and autogas PLN 6.20 and PLN 2.70 per liter respectively,” they wrote in their weekly report.
They added that the past few days have been characterized by the weakening of the zloty against the dollar, which directly affects the growth of wholesale fuel prices, so it will be more difficult to find an even cheaper gas station next week, ”they wrote in a comment. .
However, drivers should not complain: in May last year, we paid more than 7 PLN for fuel.
How to refuel, it’s in the south of the country
The prices shown above are averages as price lists vary from region to region. This week, the south of the country stood out positively on the fuel map of Poland. In the Opole region, unleaded gasoline 95 is the cheapest, and its price in this region is PLN 6.40 per liter. Drivers in Silesia pay the least for diesel fuel, where a liter of diesel fuel costs PLN 6.05. The same average price for this fuel was recorded in Wielkopolska.
In the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, it is better not to refuel with 95th gasoline, since this week this fuel is the most expensive there at a price of PLN 6.58 per liter. Currently, diesel fuel is the most expensive in Mazovia and Lower Silesia. In both these regions, the average price of diesel fuel is PLN 6.15 per litre.
