Here are the 5 most expensive holiday destinations for Poles. The record has been broken

PLN 5,130 per night is the cost of the most expensive holiday offered by Polish travel agencies. A trip to the five-star hotel Le Tahaa by Pearl Resorts is offered by Ecco Holiday. The offer includes accommodation in an overwater bungalow, a stay on a private island, which can be reached by helicopter.

Two weeks ago, we published a ranking of the most expensive holiday destinations for Polish tourists in Wprost. The top of the list was dominated by the United Arab Emirates, French Polynesia and a little closer to us Greece.

When preparing the ranking, we were thinking mainly about wealthy Poles, and not about the heroes of our list of the 100 richest. In the list, we show premium trips. And the main criterion is the price per night. Of course, you can pay more for a vacation, but we are talking about luxury individual trips, adapted to the needs of a particular client. At stake are elements such as the flight to the site itself – whether the vacationer will fly in by airlines or arrive at the site in their private jet. Among other things, for this reason, such holiday offers are difficult to price. That’s why we’ve focused on more mundane packages that may not make your head hurt as much. And you can dream.

Expensive vacation

The latest figures from major tourism organizations confirm that Poles will spend much more on holidays this year. Portal Fostertravel.pl reports that in the first quarter of this year, the cost of bookings made by Polish tourists increased by 283% compared to the first three months of last year.

According to the forecasts of the French tourist group Accor, 60 percent. of us intend to spend more on vacation this year than last year. One in five of us would like to discover new places this year.

The growth is not only due to inflation, but also because of the pandemic, which the Poles want to somehow compensate for.

Post-pandemic gift

- Speaking about the demand for high-class hotels, it should be emphasized that this trend is clearly visible in the annual increase in the share of five-star hotels in the total sales of trips abroad. This was especially noticeable after the pandemic, which can be a form of compensation for holidays “lost” due to the pandemic, or a kind of gift or reward for yourself and your loved ones. says Piotr Henich, vice president of Itaka.

The leaders of the country’s largest travel agencies met a whole bunch of whims of the richest clients. There were limousines to the plane, which delivered vacationers to the hotel. There were private make-up artists and masseurs whom the travel agency had to take from Poland. There were fresh flowers, bedding with the guests’ initials, a home cook, and more.

Reservation record

In the case of Exim Tours, the most expensive booking in history cost PLN 190,000. That is how much a couple of clients spent on staying in one of the luxury hotels and flying in business class. – I cannot reveal more, since caution in this matter is extremely important.
