Head of AgroSoyuz about luxury tomatoes. “The state must break monopolies”

Must read

Tomatoes have become a luxury, says Michal Kolodziejczak, leader of AgroUnia. In his opinion, they will exclude the blame for their growth on the policy of PiS, and the increase in the cost of production as a result, including from the rise in commodity prices, has less impact.

“The cost of production in such a violation of trade does not affect the price in any way. The state must break the monopolies that begin to dictate prices. Trade is emptying the pockets of the Poles, and PiS does nothing about it. Supermarkets should not undertake distribution in such proportions. Two trading networks dictate prices for all trade. They don’t buy Polish vegetables, they buy foreign ones, Michal Kolodzieczak told Radio Zet.

Kolodzejczak speaks about the negligence of UOKiK

In his opinion, UOKiK is not taking any action, although he had reasons to do so in February 2022, when, according to Kolodzeychak, in response to the government’s VAT reduction, the largest retail chains increased margins and prices, which absorbed the state. subsidies.

“Until recently, we were food independent. The pseudo-policy of PiS today leads to huge prices. Tomatoes have become a luxury item in Poland, flour costs more than 4 zł per kg, while the price of wheat in Subcarpathia is half that at harvest time. It’s PiS’s fault, 100 percent. Expensive prices are the fault of PiS,” the interlocutor continued.

Kolodziejczak on reporting in ABW

In the same interview, Kolodzeychak was asked if he still appeared on Russian television. - When we protested, different media came, everyone came in, took pictures, approached, asked questions. Please do not repeat what Kolodzeychak was shown on some kind of television, - the leader of the AgroSoyuz answered.

In the next part of the program, Michal Kolodzieczak said that in October he himself reported to the “relevant institutions in Poland”, to which he stated that “public television journalists constantly accuse him of some kind of connection with Russia.” - I said: please, if you want, listen to my phone, check everything … - the leader of AgroUniia said, after which he specified that he had reported to the ABC.
