Thinking about what to do after many months of this phenomenon is a little late, but better late than never, former agriculture minister Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski told Radio Wnet, referring to a roundtable on Ukrainian grain scheduled for tomorrow. .

On Wednesday there will be a “round table” on Ukrainian grain. The event, initiated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture Henryk Kowalczyk, will be attended by representatives of many agricultural organizations. Former Minister of Agriculture Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski commented on the initiative on Wnet Radio.

Ardanovsky about the round table

- To think about what to do after many months of this phenomenon, - agricultural organizations, agricultural chambers report, - a little late, but better late than never - said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2018-2020.

Ardanovsky emphasized that the size of grain in warehouses must be accurately estimated. “It would be a big mistake to completely get rid of the grain. We must have a stable supply of grain for the next year, including food for guests from Ukraine. Therefore, you should not think about completely emptying the warehouse - the politician said.

Former Minister of Economic Relations with Ukraine

Later in an interview, the former minister of agriculture emphasized that the case of grain from Ukraine signaled the problem of establishing economic relations with this country in the post-war period.

- We support Ukraine, we must do this, because there is a war going on there, including for Polish freedom. However, if there is no international agreement between Ukraine and Poland, if we do not participate in the transformation of Ukrainian agriculture, if we do not agree on the issue of cheap raw materials from Ukraine and possible processing in Poland, then we will not succeed - Ardanovsky said. - This is grain from Ukraine, this is the last cry to sort out relations with Ukraine, otherwise Polish agriculture will collapse - added.
