Commercial Sundays have been long-awaited days for several years now. Sometimes between the next there is a break of up to two months. We are checking which stores will be open on March 12, as well as when the next shopping Sunday will take place.
Sunday trading was banned in 2018. It has undergone several changes over the past five years. The most important of these concerned the gradual reduction of the number of trading Sundays. Whereas in its first year we were able to shop every first and last Sunday of the month, this year stores will only be able to open on seven commercial Sundays.
Sunday shopping, March 2023 Stores open March 12.
If you forgot to make some big purchases on Saturday, it might not be easy today. March 12 is another non-commercial Sunday this year. We also want to remind you that not a single Sunday is planned in March without a ban on trading.
However, the Trade Restriction Act contains several exceptions that have created a list of shops that can open every Sunday. Therefore, on March 12, it will be possible to make purchases, including at gas stations or franchise stores such as Carrefour Express or Żabka. Every Sunday, as well as on holidays, small local shops can also hold sales, as long as their customers are served by the owner himself or members of his immediate family.

purchases of agricultural products, milk and undergrowth,

post offices, where at least 40% of the revenue is postal services,

places of sale of fish - in the case of: sale from a fishing vessel, fish farm or when the facility is only engaged in the collection of fish products.
The next trading Sunday is April 2nd.
So far, there has only been one trading Sunday in 2023. Purchases can be made on January 29th. You must wait until April 2nd for another such opportunity. Just then, a week before Easter, another trading Sunday will take place.
Next month, you’ll be able to shop on not one, but two shopping Sundays. Stores will also be able to open on April 30, which is the Sunday before the May holiday.
