Trading Sundays are undoubtedly the days you will have to wait a long time. Due to the current legislation, their number is very limited. We check which stores will be open on February 26.
The law to restrict trading on Sundays and public holidays has already undergone several changes over the past five years. The most important of these concerned the reduction in the number of commercial Sundays. Initially, shops could open every first and last Sunday of the month, later only the last, and as of 2020, there are only seven Sundays in the calendar without a trade ban.
Shopping on Sundays, February 2023 Stores open February 26th.
You will have to wait until next trading Sunday. According to this year’s schedule, there are no trading Sundays in February and March. Only in April will we be able to shop more on the last day of the week.
However, this does not mean that all stores will be closed on February 26th. In accordance with current legislation, there is a list of outlets that are not subject to the ban on trading. That is why we are open today. neighborhood stores, gas stations, or franchise stores such as Żabka or Carrefour Express.

purchases of agricultural products, milk and undergrowth,

post offices, where at least 40% of the revenue is postal services,

places of sale of fish - in the case of: sale from a fishing vessel, fish farm or when the facility is only engaged in the collection of fish products.
When is the next trading Sunday?
As we already mentioned, you will have to wait until April for the next trading Sunday. The good news is that stores will be able to open on the first and last Sunday of this month. The first April trading Sunday will take place on April 2 (one week before Easter), and the second on April 30 (on the eve of May Day).
