In addition to the new decision, which was introduced in response to rising interest rates, the government also reminded Poles of a fund that has been in place for years to help those who have lost their ability to repay their obligations.

High Interest Borrower Support Fund

Forgotten for many years, the fund is very popular this year, also due to the fact that many borrowers found out about its existence. The figure at first glance may seem small, but the impression disappears when compared with other figures. In total, less than 1.3 thousand applications were submitted in 2016-2021. such requests. This is almost six times less than this year.

Peak interest in July

The peak of interest in the Borrower Support Fund falls on July. This coincides with the entry into force of state credit holidays. In July alone, the foundation will provide assistance in the amount of PLN 117.7 million. Since then, the level of assistance has gradually decreased every month. In October, PLN 33.8 million was paid out, and by November 4, PLN 3.56 million.
