The SBU continues to carry out security measures in the territories belonging to the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.

This time, representatives of the special services visited one of the monasteries of the Mukachevo diocese in Transcarpathia.

There, with the direct participation of representatives of the church, law enforcement officers inspect the territory and premises of the monastery to identify items prohibited for circulation; carry out verification of persons on the territory of the monastery regarding their involvement in illegal activities to the detriment of the state sovereignty of Ukraine.

All actions take place within the framework of the current legislation and are carried out to verify the data on the intentions to use the diocese as a cell of the “Russian world”; preventing the use of the premises of the UOC for harboring citizens of the aggressor country, storing prohibited items; protection of the population from provocations and terrorist acts.

The media claim that we are talking about the Cyril and Methodius convent, whose clergy are friends with Oksana Marchenko and Viktor Medvedchuk. By the way, after the exchange of Putin’s godfather for captured Ukrainian fighters, the spouses were seen in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Earlier, law enforcement officers discovered a large amount of anti-Ukrainian materials during security measures on the territory of the Pochaev Theological Seminary and the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy of the UOC-MP.

And during searches in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and MP churches, the SBU found pro-Russian literature, millions of cash and people who did not have documents or had passports with signs of forgery.
