- In Poland there will be a lot of coal, gasoline and sugar. I would like us not to panic, because this is water for Putin’s mill, Anna Lukashevskaya-Tshetyakovskaya assured. The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Climate and Environment also referred to the words of Janusz Kowalski.
Anna Lukaszewska-Trzeczakowska assured in an interview with Polsat News that there would be no coal, petrol, or sugar left in Poland. “I would like us not to panic, because this is water for Putin’s mill,” she stressed. However, the Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment acknowledged that there had not been such an energy crisis since the Second World War.
- Not only Poland speaks about this, but also the International Energy Agency. This is not an easy time, but we will deal with coal, other energy sources, and gas. Baltic Pipe is a very well prepared investment that will support us,” she explained.
“There will be no shortage of coal in Poland”
The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Climate and Environment stressed that coal is currently imported to Poland from South America and distant Asia. - We are also looking for new directions. We imported 3 million tons of coal, agreed on further deliveries of 3 million and 7 million tons,” she explained, adding that the supplies will reach Poland quickly enough so that every Pole who heats his apartment with solid coal is safe before winter. .
The PiS politician also made a call not to stand in queues for coal, but to wait for the moment when supplements are available and everyone can buy this coal. “I think that if we wait a little longer, these prices will stabilize and we will be able to buy coal for the winter at market prices and use this supplement wisely,” she commented.
Deputy Minister according to Janusz Kowalski
The Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment also referred to the words of Janusz Kowalski. A Solidarity Poland politician warned that Poland could run out of gas. - I reassure my coalition colleague and all of you - there will be no shortage of gas. Our warehouses are more than 98% full, gas will go through Baltic Pipe, we have an interconnector with Lithuania, we have LNG terminals, we will soon have an interconnector with Slovakia, so this is guaranteed, she assured.
Anna Lukaszewska-Trzeczakowska noted that Poland understands the need to save energy, but counts on solidarity in terms of suspending emissions trading. - We will urge the Poles to analyze their heat sources and save as much as possible. We do not foresee any restrictions in the supply of hot water,” she concluded.
