Experts involved in the fuel market predict that the end of the holidays will be the beginning of price increases. However, they acknowledge that the second half of the summer was very stable.
Drivers can be happy. According to Reflex, current fuel prices are at the same level as at the beginning of August and the second week of the second holiday month. They end up with slightly higher prices for petrol and diesel on average than the previous week (+1 PLN/l). Autogas also fell in price, albeit slightly (-2 g/liter). Currently the prices are as follows: unleaded petrol PLN 95 – PLN 6.64/litre, unleaded petrol PLN 98 – PLN 7.19/litre, diesel fuel PLN 6.42/litre, LPG – PLN 2.76/litre .
According to Reflex experts, the marketing policy pursued by fuel producers in the country has allowed wholesale prices to remain virtually unchanged, which, in turn, minimizes the consequences of rising oil and fuel prices on the European market.
Cheaper than last year
Since the beginning of summer, prices for all types of fuel have remained significantly lower than a year ago, analysts say. Now the situation is starting to change, and drivers buying Pb98 petrol, diesel fuel and LPG are benefiting from cheaper fuel, the prices of which are lower by PLN 0.36, PLN 0.68 and PLN 0.45/l respectively. Prices for the popular 95th variety are now only PLN 0.1/l lower than a year ago.
Reflex notes that since the beginning of summer, fuel prices have changed as follows: unleaded petrol 95 has increased by PLN 0.14/liter, unleaded petrol 98 has increased by PLN 0.10/liter, diesel fuel has increased by PLN 0.22/liter, and car gas decreased by PLN 0.14/litre.
