A small electric car caught fire in the center of the capital. This is not the only car that was destroyed.
A few days ago, we reported on the fire of an electric car in Gdansk. The fire then engulfed the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which was badly damaged in the incident. It took firefighters about 5 hours to put out the electrics in Gdansk. Nobody was hurt in the fire.
Battery temperature needs to be monitored
This time, the capital’s firefighters were called to the burning electric car. A small electric car parked in the city center caught fire. Two fire engines were sent to put out the fire. By the time firefighters arrived at the scene, the car was already engulfed in flames. Luckily, the electric was quickly extinguished. Monitoring the temperature of the traction battery took significantly longer, as much as 1.5 hours.
No one was injured during the extinguishing of the fire. Unfortunately, as a result of the flame escaping from his cabin, a Toyota SUV standing nearby was damaged.

By the end of April 2023, 40,926 light and commercial electric vehicles (BEVs) were registered in Poland. In the first four months, their number increased by as much as 71 percent. compared to the same period in 2022.
