According to zaxid.net, the Khust District Court of the Transcarpathian region sentenced them to 14 years in prison, and also ordered the brother and sister to pay UAH 1.6 million in compensation to their father.

The brutal murder of a woman occurred in February 2017. Then the 18-year-old guy agreed with his 15-year-old sister to take his mother’s life so that she would not tell her father about the theft committed by her daughter.

It is noted that the guy partially admitted his guilt, but stated that he single-handedly killed his mother and did not agree on anything with his sister. The victim’s daughter pleaded not guilty and refused to testify.

The verdict can still be appealed.
