According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, a 23-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih was detained, who created a fake channel in Telegram and “volunteers”. It is known that he pretended to be famous in the network of “Nikolaevsky Vanka”.

“A 23-year-old resident of Krivoy Rog created a channel in Telegram, completely copying the Nikolaev channel with a million audience. The scammer copied messages about the collection in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, changed the bank card number or the link “collection banks” and added his own bank accounts in a fake channel. Consequently, the attacker managed to appropriate about UAH 3 million. The man spent the money on his own needs and entertainment, - the message says.

The police identified more than a hundred people who transferred money to the swindler. Cyberpolicemen also establish other victims of the fraudulent actions of the offender.
