In connection with the undermining of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station by the Russians, the situation in the Kherson region is critical, especially in the temporarily occupied part of the region.
Water arrives in Oleshki. There are almost no unflooded streets left in the city.
According to Public Kherson, several streets remain unflooded, but the situation is rapidly changing.
“There are practically no evacuation routes, the occupying power has withdrawn itself from these duties”- the message says.
In the temporarily occupied Hola Pristan, water continues to rise. In some places it rose to 3.5 meters. Many locals spent the night on rooftops.
Also partially flooded or flooded are Krynki, Cossack Camps, Podstepnoe, Peschanka, Right and Left Solonets, Right and Left Sagas. Information about the dead and wounded has not yet been received.
Recall that on June 6, Russian invaders blew up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. Due to the uncontrolled discharge of water, there is a threat of flooding of a number of settlements. As of Wednesday morning, June 7, people on the Russian-controlled left bank of the Dnieper are still locked in the attics and upper floors of their homes. Someone is trying to evacuate on their own, someone is waiting.
