Mandatory meter checks resumed in Ukraine: what consumers need to know

Must read

In Ukraine, according to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 440 dated April 7, 2023, verification of individual utility meters was resumed, which previously could not be verified during martial law. The adopted decision applies to all service providers, with the exception of the temporarily occupied territories. This was reported in the company “Kyivteploenergo”.

“Without exception, all district heating and hot water meters with expired certificates must be tested. According to the Law of Ukraine “On Metrology and Metrological Activity”, verification of individual metering devices is carried out by licensed organizations, a list of which can be found on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine (http://www.me.gov.ua). The certificate of verification must be submitted to the Public Service Center “- the message says.

Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine they may oblige residents of settlements that were surrounded or blockaded or temporarily occupied, or active hostilities took place on their territory, to submit counters for verification within three months from the date of termination or cancellation of martial law.
