In Ukraine, the rules for passing technical inspection have been updated: what has changed

Having approved a new mechanism for controlling overload, the government decided to improve the procedure for passing the mandatory technical control of vehicles. We are talking about commercial, passenger and cargo vehicles, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In particular, the Decree “On Amendments to the Decrees of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated January 30, 2012 No. 137 and May 31, 2012 No. 512” introduced an electronic form of the protocol for checking the technical condition of the vehicle. At the same time, if necessary, with the possibility of printing a paper copy of the protocol. However, the printing of the protocol is possible only on a standard form, the cost of which is paid by the enterprise.

Also, the volumes of checking the technical condition of vehicles have been updated, video recording of the process of mandatory technical control (OTC) of vehicles has been introduced. At the same time, state authorities, local governments, individuals and legal entities can receive video materials from the QCD subject upon relevant requests.

“Selective viewing of video recording materials will exclude the possibility of fictitious inspections of the technical condition by the subjects of the Quality Control Department, and this will significantly affect the strengthening of road safety,” - consider in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
