Tap water or rain? What water is better to water indoor plants

Must read

Many Ukrainians like to grow different indoor plants at home. Experienced flower growers told what water is best to water them.

According to the Indoor Flowers Telegram channel, tap water is in principle suitable for irrigation, but contains very few minerals and a lot of chlorine. Well water, on the contrary, contains too many mineral salts. There can be a lot of them in it, as many as plants do not need. And what is too much is not healthy.

Water from an open reservoir (rivers, lakes) is less suitable for watering indoor plants: harmful decay products, dangerous bacteria, and sometimes toxic waste accumulate in it.

Rainwater is ideally neutral and rich in oxygen. But various chemicals, lime, soot necessarily get into rainwater. Do not collect rainwater after a long drought. When it started to rain heavily and for a long time, you need to wait about half an hour, and only then put out the dishes for cleaning the water.
