Monday, March 20th is the International Day of Happiness. Traditionally, the annual Global Happiness Report is published on the occasion of such a holiday. It was presented in New York. The report on happiness is prepared by scientists based on polls by the association of sociological organizations Gallup International over the past three years. The happiness index is calculated based on six key criteria: social support, income, health, freedom, generosity and lack of corruption.
Finland ranked first in the ranking of countries with the happiest population for the sixth year in a row.
In addition to the Finns, the top ten also included Danes, Icelanders, Israelis, Dutch, Swedes, Norwegians, Swiss, residents of Luxembourg and New Zealand.
Of the former Soviet republics, Lithuania (20th), Estonia (31st) and Latvia (41st) topped the list.
The most unhappy of the 137 countries featured in the report are Sierra Leone, Lebanon and Afghanistan.
Ukraine ranks 92nd. This is slightly higher than last year.
“Despite the scale of suffering and harm in Ukraine, its residents’ assessment of life in September 2022 was higher than after the annexation of Crimea in 2014.”, the authors of the report note. They believe that this is due to a stronger sense of unity among Ukrainians and their trust in President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Russian invasion forged Ukraine into a single nation“, - emphasized one of the authors of the report, Professor at Oxford University Jan-Emmanuel de Neve.
Recall the words of Volodymyr Zelensky about the main result of the “year of invincibility”: “We have become one big army.”

I am currently working as a news website author at Daily News Hack. I mostly cover trending news and have been doing so for quite some time now. I have always had a keen interest in current affairs and the world around me, which is what led me to my current job.
I firmly believe that the best way to learn about something is by doing it yourself and that is why I love my job so much. It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others.
I am also a big believer in the power of networking and building relationships. I think that LinkedIn is a great platform for connecting with like-minded people from all over the world.
