Ford Pro introduces the new Ranger in Wildtrak X and Tremor trims. The new Rangers feature long-travel suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers and advanced off-road assistance systems.
Ford Pro has introduced two off-road models, the Ranger Wildtrak X and Ranger Tremor, to complement the pickup lineup in Europe.
Developed for customers who demand more off-road capability from their vehicles, both models feature a significantly redesigned chassis with custom-engineered suspension, including upgraded Bilstein dampers as standard. Off-road oriented driver assistance systems enhance confidence on the road. The two new Ranger variants also feature a new rugged design.
Ranger Wildtruck X
The Ranger Wildtrak X is based on the Wildtrak model but features 26mm higher suspension and a 30mm wider track for more confident handling in rough terrain. Bilstein high-performance shock absorbers fitted as standard with position-dependent damping provide sufficient damping force throughout their travel, enhancing off-road performance without sacrificing ride quality. An updated, reinforced power steering system and steel plates to protect the engine and transfer case give you even more off-road confidence.
All versions of the Wildtrak X are powered by a 2.0-liter Ford EcoBlue Bi-turbo diesel engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The maximum torque transmitted to the wheels is 500 Nm at 1750 rpm, and the maximum power is 205 hp. Also included as standard is a “set it and forget it” permanent all-wheel drive system designed to maintain high performance in difficult situations.
Ranger Tremor
The new Ranger Tremor is based on the Ranger XLT and uses updated chassis and systems from the Wildtrak X, as well as a new all-wheel drive system.
The redesigned suspension geometry contributes to a more squat stance, which is also emphasized by the wider track and wider wheel arches. A roof rack is standard, while cast aluminum side steps and exposed dual front tow hooks complete the package. Tremor-designed Boulder Gray exterior details and a tinted grille complete the styling.
The seats and floor of the Ranger Tremor feature water-repellent, easy-to-clean vinyl coverings. The optional pre-wired ceiling switch kit offers six inputs for winches, LED light bars, and other accessories that can be ordered from your Ford dealer or the Ford Online Store.
