The Kherson regional prosecutor’s office informed in absentia about the suspicion to the deputy of the Kherson regional council from the banned party “Vladimir Saldo Bloc”.
This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the suspect previously served in law enforcement agencies and retired with the rank of major general of police. During the temporary occupation of Kherson, he collaborated with an employee of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
“A representative of the Russian special service led the process of approving the occupying authorities, coordinated the creation of pseudo-law enforcement and illegal judicial bodies in the region. The role of the suspect was to provide the curator from Russia with information about persons who could be recruited to work in the occupation authorities. To do this, he personally contacted both the former law enforcement officers and the current ones, persuading them to cooperate.”- says the prosecutor’s office.
The name of the suspect in the prosecutor’s office is not called, but judging by the published photo, we are talking about Valery Valeryevich Lytvyn, writes UNIAN.
Recall that in early January, law enforcement officers searched the home of Volodymyr Saldo, the chief collaborator of the Kherson region, and the place of residence of his henchmen. Russian documents with direct instructions to commit crimes against Ukraine were found in the Saldo estate. Saldo’s library deserves special attention, where he probably gathered ideology about “great Russia”, as well as a manual on sex.
It also became known that during a search at the deputy head of the former occupation administration of Kherson, a gold watch was found on him, allegedly donated by Vladimir Putin. Documents and other evidence proving the involvement of the defendant in collaboration activities were also found.
Recall that after the occupation of Kherson, the Russian invaders appointed the former people’s deputy-traitor Volodymyr Saldo as the so-called “chairman” of the administration of the Kherson region. In September, the assets of the enterprise, the ultimate beneficiary of which is the family of Vladimir Saldo, were arrested in the Zhytomyr region.
At the same time, the Security Service of Ukraine reported suspicions to 16 organizers of the Russian pseudo-referendum in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. It was, in particular, about the “chairman of the military-civilian administration” of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo and his “deputy” Kirill Stremousov, who was liquidated by the invaders themselves before retreating from Kherson.
