In Ukraine, at the birth of a child, parents can count on support from the state, we are talking about cash payments and “packing the baby”.
Assistance is issued to one of the parents or guardians with whom the child lives permanently. Registration is possible within 12 months from the date of birth of the child and during the quarantine period and one more month after its completion, the Ministry of Social Policy recalled.
Help to apply online by registering in the e-services office of the Ministry of Social Policy.
You can also use the complex service “E-Baby” on the “Action” portal.
To apply for offline assistance, you should contact the social protection authority or the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services (TSNAP) at the place of residence, submitting the following documents:
- a statement from one of the parents,
- birth certificate of the child,
- personal bank account for social payments,
- to guardians - a court decision on the establishment of guardianship,
- documents certifying the birth of a child (in case of a child’s birth outside of Ukraine).
One-time in-kind “baby pack” assistance is provided by the healthcare facility when a child is born.
In case of non-receipt of a “baby package” at a healthcare institution, an application for its receipt is submitted no later than 30 calendar days from the date of birth of the child, and in the case of a child born outside the healthcare institution, within a year from the date of birth of the child.
Instead of “packaging the baby”, you can receive monetary compensation for its cost. Compensation is assigned if the application for it was received no later than 12 months from the date of birth of the child.
Recall that in 2023 the amount of the cash benefit for the birth of a child will be UAH 41,280. Immediately after birth, you can get 10320 hryvnia. The remaining amounts are paid over the next 36 months at UAH 860 per month.

I am currently working as a news website author at Daily News Hack. I mostly cover trending news and have been doing so for quite some time now. I have always had a keen interest in current affairs and the world around me, which is what led me to my current job.
I firmly believe that the best way to learn about something is by doing it yourself and that is why I love my job so much. It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others.
I am also a big believer in the power of networking and building relationships. I think that LinkedIn is a great platform for connecting with like-minded people from all over the world.
