I am currently working as a news website author at Daily News Hack. I mostly cover trending news and have been doing so for quite some time now. I have always had a keen interest in current affairs and the world around me, which is what led me to my current job. I firmly believe that the best way to learn about something is by doing it yourself and that is why I love my job so much. It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others. I am also a big believer in the power of networking and building relationships. I think that LinkedIn is a great platform for connecting with like-minded people from all over the world.

This dish can be a great alternative to soup or borscht on Christmas Eve on January 6, it is very popular in Polissya. Try and cook to bring something new to your menu, says food blogger Yulia Simonchukwho previously shared a recipe for a torn pita and cheese pie.

Ingredients:

dried mushrooms - 100-150 g

salted herring (you can use sardine, but it tastes better with herring) - 300-400 g

onion - 1 pc.

carrots - 1 pc.

salt, pepper, spices, herbs - to taste

frying oil

Cooking

Rinse and soak the mushrooms overnight. In the morning we set the mushrooms to cook for about an hour. Meanwhile, fry the chopped onion with grated carrots in oil. Add the herring pieces to the mushrooms and cook for another 7-10 minutes over low heat. Add the frying, bay leaf, salt, pepper, spices, herbs to the pan. Let the ear boil and turn off the fire. It will be delicious both warm and cold.
