On Wednesday, December 28, the Perm Regional Court sentenced Timur Bekmansurov, a former student of Perm State University (PGNIU), to life imprisonment. He was convicted of armed assault and murder of university students and visitors. Bekmansurov is serving his sentence, first in prison, and then three years later in a strict regime colony.
On the morning of September 20, 2021, a mass murder was committed at Perm University. The shooting was arranged by Timur Bekmansurov. He killed six. Another 47 people were injured.
