The liver is used in many dishes, including festive ones. For example, chicken is used in the Kind Papa salad. You can also cook it the Berlin way.
A simple recipe for this delicious, beautiful and original dish is offered by the authors of the Cuisine of the World.
Ingredients:
Beef liver (chicken) - 500 gr;
Apple (green) - 2 pcs.;
Onion - 1 pc.;
Salt, black pepper (ground) - to taste;
Sweet paprika (ground) - 1 tsp;
Curry - 0.5 tsp;
Flour - 3 tablespoons;
Oil for frying.
Cooking:
Cut the liver into portions, beat off, salt, pepper, roll in flour, fry in vegetable oil on both sides for 3 minutes.
Strain the oil in which the liver was fried, fry the sliced u200bu200bapples in it over medium heat until soft. Remove the apples, put onions, cut into rings, salt, add paprika and curry and, stirring, fry until soft.
Put in a ceramic vessel in layers: apples - liver - onions and put in the oven for 5-7 minutes at 180 C.
Serve with your favorite side dish.
