Thomas Turnbichler has made it clear what he expects from Kamil Stoch. The Polish ski jumper is not in the best shape on the eve of the Four Hills Tournament, so the words of the coach in this context are very important.
Although many weeks have passed since the start of the 2022/23 ski jumping winter season, Kamil Stoch has still not stabilized his sporting spirit. When asked about the leader of the Polish national team, Thomas Turnbichler did not hide the fact that he had certain hopes for him. In an interview with skijumping.pl, he said exactly what he had in mind.
Here’s what Thomas Turnbichler expects from Kamil Stoch
Since the beginning of winter, the form of the player from Zebu has become undulating. He has moments when it seems that he is about to enter the top, and there are fateful moments that are not befitting an athlete with such a resume. This was especially noticeable after the competitions in Titisee-Neustadt and Engelberg. In Germany, Stoch was 40th, then 8th, and in Switzerland, first 8th and then 39th.
Strong fluctuations in the mood of the 35-year-old footballer are also noticed by Thomas Turnbichler, who believes that after all, his ward should not be deleted before the start of the 4-Hills-Tournament. - You should always remember about Kamil. In optimal condition, he can reach Berkut, and has done it three times already. It is also important that he is set not only to win. He wants to make as many good jumps as possible.
The coach of the Polish national team also added what the player from Zab should do in order for the coach to be satisfied with his game. - I will be completely satisfied if Camille makes six very good jumps out of eight attempts. This will give him confidence next season,” Turnbichler said.
