According to him, the rashists beat ordinary people. “Across the market, elevator, gas station, bus station, residential building. The list of the dead today includes ten people, many injured. My condolences to family and friends… Eternal memory to all the victims of Russian terror!” — said the president in another video message.
He also recalled the Kherson region, where the day before, during stabilization measures, law enforcement officers were killed and injured: Russian mines. Among the dead is the head of the police of the Cherkasy region, Mikhail Kuratchenko, he helped his colleagues in the south. Explosive engineer Igor Melnik. Cynologist Sergey Nenada. Vadim Pirozhok, assistant to the duty officer of the Uman district police department. The lives of four more police officers are now being saved by doctors.”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke about the meeting of the Headquarters, which considered the situation at the front, primarily in the areas of Bakhmut, where there is a fierce confrontation with the enemy, as well as the state of affairs in the energy sector.
“We are constantly increasing the generation and supply of electricity - almost every day we add more volume. But we should not forget and everyone should not forget that it is now impossible to restore 100% of the energy system, which it was before the start of the Russian energy terror. Need time”- he said and added that the largest outages were recorded in Kyiv and the region, Lviv region, Zhytomyr region, Khmelnytsky region, Poltava region, Vinnitsa and Transcarpathia.
Among the events that took place on the international arena, Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned a conference in the United States dedicated to the creation of a special tribunal for Russian crimes against Ukraine, and announced “important decisions for our defense.”
“We have a very important result in France. The French Supreme Court upheld the decision to recover in favor of the Ukrainian Sberbank from the aggressor state. The amount with accrued interest is almost $1.5 billion. This lawsuit has been going on since 2015. More than six years of struggle, tens of thousands of pages of legal documents, a lot of hope and no less skepticism that some have expressed… But there is this victory for Ukraine. Russia will be responsible for all stolen assets of the Ukrainian state and companies (illegal expropriation of the bank’s investments located in Crimea. - Auth.). This is the first victory for a state-owned company in the courts against Russia over what was seized in Crimea, and I thank each and every one who ensured this result.”he noted.
Earlier, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov called this winter a key stage in the war and did not rule out that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could enter Luhansk, Donetsk and Sevastopol next spring.
