Ukrainians with experience in hazardous work can retire, regardless of the place of the last job. We are talking about people who worked at enterprises with especially harmful and especially difficult working conditions according to List No. 1 and List No. 2, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. This was recalled in the Pension Fund.

A 54-year-old man, who worked as a gas welder in construction for 10 years, previously studied in this profession at a vocational school and served in the army, turned to the Pension Fund with a question about the possibility of early retirement.
For men, if they have the necessary harmful experience, a pension is assigned at the age of 55. To assign a preferential pension, a man who turns 55 in 2023 needs at least 30 years of insurance experience, of which at least 12 years 6 months - in work with harmful and difficult working conditions according to List No. 2, noted in the department.
Specifically, for the applicant, lawyers write that his preferential service, in addition to directly 10 years of harmful work, can also include the period of study at a vocational school in his specialty, if he worked in the acquired privileged profession within three months after graduation and the period of military service, even if she interrupted her training.
In this case, the duration of the applicant’s preferential period of service may exceed the 12 years and 6 months of service required for granting a preferential pension.
A man can apply for a preferential pension under List No. 2 in 2023, but not earlier than a month before reaching the age of 55.
“Preferential service is confirmed by a certificate issued by the enterprise at the place of work. The length of service acquired after 08/21/1992 is taken into account based on the results of the certification of workplaces in terms of working conditions. To do this, a copy of the order of the enterprise on the approval of the results of attestation of workplaces, carried out on the basis of an assessment of working conditions, is provided. - reminded the fund.
