Ukraine intends to confiscate more than 900 objects located on its territory, but at the same time belonging to Russian oligarchs.
Well, here comes the first one. This is Vladimir Yevtushenkov. One of the richest Russians, who had serious interests and fortune in Ukraine. Three times received signature pistols “Fort” from Yanukovych. And he had the full cooperation of the then Ukrainian authorities.
Yevtushenkov’s involvement in the war against Ukraine lies in the fact that his enterprises are engaged in the manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles for the Russian army and stationary radar stations designed to detect and track ballistic and cruise missiles.
“This is the first decision to confiscate the property of a Russian citizen in Ukraine. Such confiscation is provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”, is of an exceptional nature and can only be applied during martial law to those persons who significantly contributed to the armed aggression against Ukraine.and,” WAKS said.
But the decision of the VAKS still needs to be confirmed by the Appeals Chamber before the property is transferred to the state. He has five days to do so.
The oligarch is under the sanctions of Ukraine, Great Britain, Australia.
