On Monday, August 29, Slavyansk in the Donetsk region once again came under fire from Russian invaders. The evacuation base of the Red Cross society was destroyed in the city, said Taras Logginov, a representative of the society.
According to him, the Rashists fired from 152-mm artillery. Four shells hit the base. The building was destroyed, three cars were damaged.
Logginov specified that there was a group at the base that had been evacuating the wounded and sick since April 18. Volunteers also delivered food and hygiene kits, home renovation materials, medicines and drinking water to local residents.
“On all maps, this place is marked as the building of the Red Cross. The Russian command knew that there were no military facilities either at the base itself or on the outskirts.- writes Taras Logginov.
Fortunately, none of the volunteers were hurt.
Logginov added that the volunteers continue to evacuate civilians using the equipment that remained at their disposal.
And today the Russians shelled Kharkov again. About eight arrivals were recorded in the city center.
The leadership of the Kharkiv region plans to evacuate residents of three districts of the region before the start of the heating season.
