Must read

Since the beginning of the war, the NBU has introduced a number of restrictions on monetary transactions. But now, according to the National Bank, restrictions have been lifted to support the activities of volunteers and businesses. The changes take effect on August 6th.

The NBU allowed banks not to apply the limit on the settlements of natural persons-volunteers on hryvnia payment cards abroad for the purchase of military goods.

But for this you need to comply with a number of requirements:

- account transactions must be typical for this individual and the volume of transactions exceeded the equivalent of UAH 100,000 per month until July 21, 2022;

- you need to submit a letter to the bank from a government agency or military unit about cooperation with a volunteer and ordering goods for the corresponding purpose, if the amount of such an operation exceeds the equivalent of UAH 400,000 per month;

- provide the estimated cost of the goods and the timing of the order;

- inform the bank about the collection of funds in order to pay for the products.

Individual volunteers have the opportunity to buy: walkie-talkies, body armor, helmets, helmets, military and tactical uniforms, military and tactical shoes, protective clothing, optical surveillance devices, unmanned aerial vehicles, sleeping bags, mats and medical aids.

But if the bank has information about the unscrupulous activities of an individual, it may refuse to continue to carry out such operations in the amount exceeding UAH 100,000 per month.

Considering the needs of business, the National Bank also simplifies currency restrictions, in particular the use of corporate payment cards.

Banks are allowed to sell foreign currency to legal entities and sole proprietors, residents of Ukraine for use abroad. In particular, for the business trip of employees, but not more than the daily limit of the equivalent of 80 euros per person, and for accommodation and travel expenses (subject to confirmation by documents).

In addition, clients of the bank-legal entities carrying goods in international traffic will not be subject to the restriction on settlements with hryvnia payment cards abroad.
