Ukrainian immigrants in Poland will be able to receive an electronic form confirming their legal stay in the country and allowing them to travel around the countries of the European Union.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland.

The document was named Diia.pl. To obtain it, PESEL is required – an analogue of the Ukrainian identification code, which must be obtained from the territorial administration.

According to the data provided, Poland informed the European Commission about an electronic document confirming the legal stay of Ukrainians in Poland. The document will allow Ukrainian refugees to travel across the borders of the European Union, as well as cross its external borders.

This is the first fully digital residence permit in the European Union.

The press service of the Polish government clarified that the Diia.pl document is available through the “mObywat” mobile application, which can be installed on Android and iOS mobile phones.

Also in the Ministry of Defense, Poland stated that it would help in the treatment of the Ukrainian military.

Recall that from July 1, Poland cancels free travel by rail for Ukrainians.

Poland from July 1 will stop paying financial assistance to Ukrainian refugees. Assistance in the amount of 40 zlotys, that is, about 320 hryvnia per day for food and accommodation, has been paid since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

However, some categories of Ukrainian refugees in Poland will be able to receive new payments from a charitable organization.

By the way, since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 220 thousand women from Ukraine got a job in Poland.
