Specially labeled products, the lowest price guarantee on the market, and money back on cheaper purchases – this is what Allegro’s latest promo campaign looks like. The list of marketing activities of this online platform is much longer.

Allegro compares its prices with the biggest market players

Marketplace compares its prices with 24 popular online stores. Among them, for example. computronik.pl, castorama.pl, empik.com, euro.com.pl, amazon.pl, mediaexpert.pl and mediamarkt.pl. “In this way, Allegro intends to prove to customers that they do not need to compare prices for goods, because the site shows the lowest price compared to competing platforms and online stores of famous brands.” according to the news portal Wiadomoscihandlowe.pl.

Allegro has highlighted selected products for which the lowest price on the market is guaranteed. Platform users can count on a refund of the difference in price if they find a cheaper product in a competitor online store within three days from the date of purchase on the portal. During the campaign, they can receive a maximum of PLN 200 per month. Customers will not be eligible for a refund. They will receive the price difference in the form of a coupon to use on the online platform.

The battle for market dominance continues. One against the entire e-commerce industry

According to experts, this is similar to the struggle of one player with all competitors for market dominance. High inflation and high prices have also taken their toll, forcing customers to look for cheaper solutions. “We see how important the price of a product is today. Our research clearly shows that buyers are willing to take a number of additional steps to make sure they find the best deal.” says Jakub Galczyński, Head of Sourcing and Deals at Allegro, on the portal.

The lowest price guarantee offered by the marketplace is a well-known solution on the market. They are most often used by nationwide supermarkets, which thus want to attract customers longer. However, such actions need to be repeated and made public again and again. There is another point that traders pay attention to. In their opinion, a large platform like Allegro will find it increasingly difficult to compete with numerous online stores.

This is the amount of commission charged, which, in addition to the margin, the entrepreneur must add to the price of the product. In addition, there is a well-promoted and positioned own online store. This allows online companies to effectively compete with Allegro. But this is not the end.

As we recently reported on the pages of Wprost.pl, a competition is being prepared for the largest Polish e-commerce platform. The new site called wszystko.pl is the project of one of the richest Poles. While the e-commerce platform is in its testing phase, its launch is scheduled for June.
