Work is underway on the Central Pension Information, i.е. a single account, which should aggregate all information on pension savings in ZUS, KRUS, PPC, PPE, IKE, IKZE and OFE.
Central pension information is designed to collect all information about pension savings. It will show data on the amount of ZUS and KRUS contributions, the amount collected under Employee Capital Investment Plans (PPK) and Employee Pension Plans (PPE), as well as what has been saved in a private IRA, IRA and OFE. The information will be available through the mobile app or via the gov.pl domain.
One retirement account
“It is not convenient for the Poles to manage all their savings, accumulated with an eye to the future,” we read in the rationale for the project. Its creators note that so far there is no single consistent place where you can get information about all the capital accumulated for a future pension.
It also leads to low interest in savings, low discipline in savings, and even potentially limited trust in institutions that collect savings, write the authors of the bill.
The Polish Development Fund will take care of the pension account
According to the project, the Central Pension Information will be administered by the Polish Development Fund. The institution will be responsible for collecting and organizing data and organizing services. It will also have the task of protecting information from unauthorized access.
The draft act indicates the maximum limit of budget expenditures for the construction and operation of the CIC. By 2031, it will amount to PLN 215 million.
