The machine gave the man two true facts and one false one. Bard said that the telescope was the first in history to detect the so-called exoplanet - a planet in a system with a star other than the Sun.
Meanwhile, astronomers were quick to point out that this was false information. The first extrasolar planet was discovered by the European Very Large Telescope (VLT) in 2004. The Webb Telescope was only launched into orbit in December 2021.
