TVP Sport is preparing for a revolution. Journalists sense change

Public television is undergoing internal changes announced by the new government. The revolution in TVP was noticeable almost immediately, as many live broadcasts disappeared from the schedule, and TVP Info and the official website tvp.info stopped broadcasting. One of the stations that published live broadcasts without problems was TVP Sport. This does not mean that it will remain untouched.

When viewers of Polish Television wanted to watch standard programs live, they played series that could usually be seen on other stations. In turn, the TVP Sport broadcast plan has not changed and continues to operate as before. Meanwhile, the WP Sportowe Fakty website reported that sports journalists sense big changes taking place within TVP, as the sports television building prepares a new edition of 19:30 to replace Vedomosti.

Its management did not provide any information about what was happening “at the top.” Journalists continue to work as before, but it is difficult for them to remain indifferent to the ongoing revolution. – There was no information meeting. We also have not received even a short email with information about our future or instructions regarding work in the coming days,” a TVP Sport employee tells the above-mentioned source.

In his opinion, the fact that sports programs were broadcast without any problems testifies to the new government’s confidence in its work. “We know that these changes do not affect us, but we are still convinced that the changes will soon affect us,” he adds.
