Radomiak Radom announced the dismissal of Konstantin Galka shortly before the match with Wroclaw Śląsk. A new coach will lead the team in the next match. The Masovian Voivodeship team will be led by a coach who most recently worked at Lech Poznan. An ambitious task awaits him.
Radomiak Radom spends another season in PKO Ekstraklasa. The team from the south of the Masovian Voivodeship is doing well. Due to mediocre results, Konstantin Galka resigned as coach. Out of 22 matches, the team led by the Romanian won only eight. The club’s management decided to fire him and focus on a different coaching vision.
Coach Lech will work in Radomyak
Although the Radom team could have taken someone with extensive experience in the Ekstraklasa as their first coach, they chose an unobvious person. The team’s new coach was Maciej Kędziorek, who had never worked at the highest level as a head coach before. The coach, a native of Otwock, began his career working with Mazury Karczew’s youth groups. Later he was the first coach of Vilga Garwolin, PKS Rados, OKS Otwock and Victoria Sulejowek.
Since 2016, he has worked as an assistant coach in leading clubs. He first worked for three years with Marek Papszun in Rakow Częstochowa, and then with Ireneusz Mamrot and Dariusz Majec in Arka Gdynia. Since July 2021, he has been linked to Lech Poznań. Together with Maciej Skorza, he won the Ekstraklasa championship in the 2021/2022 season. For the last year he has been working with the current guardian of the Poznan team, Jon van den Brom. Lech had no problems with Kendziorek leaving.
“Without a doubt, for me this is a step forward in my football adventure, because before that I worked as an assistant for six years and always dreamed of becoming the first coach,” Van den Brom’s outgoing assistant told Lech.
Maciej Kędziorek’s debut in Radomiak
Kędziorek’s assistants in Radomiak will be Mateusz Tereszczyński and Damian Tucin. In the debut, the coaching staff will lead the team against Vidzew.
