Competitions in this competition have been included in the canon of the World Ski Championships since 1925 in Janské Lazne, Czechoslovakia. At that time, only individual competitions were played. The situation has changed since 1982, when team competitions debuted at the World Championships in Oslo.

During this year’s World Championships in Planica, another type of Nordic combined made its debut. We are talking about team competitions in the mixed doubles, which were scheduled for Sunday, February 26. According to Interia journalists, the competition was interrupted after the dangerous falls of two players - Italian Alessandro Pittin and Japanese Akito Watabe.
Faustina Malik, assistant to the technical delegate, told the website journalists that this state of affairs was caused by snowfall. - It’s too sticky. You need to go to the landing hill on a snowcat (a caterpillar vehicle that is used to prepare ski slopes - ed.) to mix the new snow with the old, she continued, whose words are quoted by Interia.
World Championships in Planica: ski jumping competition in mixed doubles
The match must resume at 12:30. The mixed team ski jumping competition must take place on the same hill where the cross country skiing competition was held. Already at 15:30 a trial series will take place, and at 17:00 the first series will start.
It is not yet known whether the snow on the hill will disturb the ski jumpers and whether the competition will be rescheduled or rescheduled as a result. The Polish national team consisting of Kinga Raida, Nicole Kondrela, Piotr Zhyla and Kamil Stoch will take part in the competition.
