Kamil Stoch has revealed that he has one dream he would like to fulfill before he retires from ski jumping. This recognition surprised the leader of the Polish national team very much.
Kamil Stoch is one of those insatiable athletes. Despite the fact that he has won a lot in his career, he still dreams of new triumphs. In an interview with TVP Sport, he revealed that he would like to reach a certain goal before taking his skis off for the last time. His confession was very unexpected.
Kamil Stoch is one of the most successful athletes in ski jumping history.
Recall that we are talking about a four-time Olympic medalist who won three gold medals. The Pole also has two triumphs at the world championships and four medals of other colors in the same events. In addition, he has been on the podium three times at the World Flying Championships. As if that wasn’t enough, he also won two Crystal Globes awarded for winning the World Championship - he did so in the 2013/14 and 2017/18 seasons. He finished the competition four times in the lower echelons of the podium. In addition, the 36-year-old has won the 4-Hills-Tournament three times and the Raw Air competition twice.
And these are only the most important triumphs in Stoch’s career. All this combined makes him one of the most successful athletes in the history of this discipline. It is interesting, however, that the player himself dreams of another victory. Quite unusual for a man considered by many to be one of the best in the world.
Kamil Stoch revealed his sporting dream
The dimension of the goal set by Stoch is local. – My big dream is to climb the podium of the Polish team championship one day. I won’t rest until I succeed. I just hope I see it sooner than if I was jumping with a gray beard and a cane, joked an athlete from Ząb on TVP Sport.
Stoch would like to achieve this with the participation of the Eve-Nementu Zakopane team, which he founded with his wife a few years ago. The team finished fifth in the last edition.
