I have worked in the news industry for over 10 years. I have been an author at Daily News Hack for the past 1 year. I mostly cover sports news, but I also have a keen interest in current affairs and politics. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and spending time with my family.

Former Polish representative Marek Dziuba hopes the next coach will have time to work with the team longer. The 1982 World Cup medalist also commented on the foreign coach and commented on Paulo Sousa’s stay in unexpected words.

On December 31, Czeslaw Mihnevich’s contract with PZPN ended, which meant that the Polish national team did not have a coach. In his farewell post, former coach M.I. Legia Warsaw said goodbye to the fans. “First of all, you, white and red fans, for your support. I say goodbye to the team that I will always support. I wish you all health, smiles and peace in the coming New Year. It has been a successful year for Polish football,” the coach wrote on Instagram.

Cesar Kulesza, president of PZPN, has not yet decided who will replace Czesław Mihnevich as coach. There are rumors in the media about who is better suited for this position, a Pole or someone from abroad. The names of such candidates as Marek Papshun, Jan Urban, Vladimir Petkovic, Paulo Bento and Herve Renard are mentioned as a potential successor to the coach.

Former representative of Poland: The project should have a longer continuation

In an interview with TVP Sport, former Polish representative and 1982 World Cup bronze medalist Marek Dziuba admitted that he hoped that a coach would now come who would work with the team for a long time. There should be a longer continuation of his project. I am impressed with the work of coach Marek Papshun in Rakov-Czestochowa. It seems that patience pays off. He has been implementing his vision for many years and the results are amazing. Business continuity is extremely important and the same goes for representation.

When asked about his attachment to the names of Polish coaches, the former football player admitted that this does not bother him. According to the World Cup medalist, no footballer would play for, for example, Marek Papshun or Jan Urban for merit or name.

Marek Dziuba: Souza did a lot of good things

Marek Dzyuba, when asked about a foreign coach, decided that this option was not risky. Most or almost all players know how to communicate with a foreign coach. So the language barrier shouldn’t be a problem. Forty years ago we knew two languages - our native language and the other was at our feet. Therefore, I am calm about the possible employment of a coach from the West,” he admitted.

According to former Poland representative Paulo Souza, he did a lot of good work for Poland and we evaluate his tenure through the lens of his flight to Flamengo. “During his tenure, we played good football. Objectively speaking, it was a pleasure to watch most of the staff meetings under his leadership. We introduced offensive football and that is commendable,” he said, adding that although we were out of the World Cup group after 36 years, for example, in the match with Argentina, you could get heart palpitations.

“We were fighting for a promotion, but it was more like a fight for survival,” he concluded.
