On Thursday, December 29, the 71st Four Hills Tournament started. Six Poles qualified for the first competition in Oberstdorf - Jan Habdas, Stefan Hula, Pawel Wonsek, Kamil Stoch, Piotr Zyla and David Kubacki who finished second in qualifying. Only the Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud was ahead of his competitor from Novy Targ.

After qualification, 25 pairs have been formed that will fight for reaching the final. The results achieved by the white and red meant that two Polish jumpers would fight for victory in a fratricidal duel. Here are all pairs of Polish jumpers:

- whiskers – Lindvik;
