I have worked in the news industry for over 10 years. I have been an author at Daily News Hack for the past 1 year. I mostly cover sports news, but I also have a keen interest in current affairs and politics. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and spending time with my family.

Kamil Stoch decided on a sincere challenge ahead of the Four Hills Tournament. The Polish representative spoke about his current form and upcoming competitions. “I needed such a period,” he admitted.

Kamil Stoch has had problems stabilizing his fitness form since the beginning of the 2022/23 season in ski jumping and has alternated good jumps with weaker ones.

The champion from Zab is only 14th in the overall World Cup standings, and his highest result was at the competition in Titisee-Neustadt, where he finished eighth. He finished in the same place in the first competition at Engelberg but missed out on the final 30 on the second day.

Kamil Stoch: I needed such a period

In an interview with skijumping.pl, Kamil Stoch admitted that he needed a Christmas break before the Four Hills Tournament. “I needed such time to be with my family, not to think about ski jumping and to occupy my head with something else,” he admitted.

On the other hand, the two-time crystal ball winner said it was great to be back on the hill in Obersdorf. “I was shocked that so many fans came to the qualification, but that’s the whole point. We have missed this in recent years.

Stoch: I want to immortalize certain things and create a sense of well-being

Kamil Stoch realized that you need to be able to draw from this good atmosphere, because motivation can be overdone. “If we take enough of this energy and learn how to use it at the right moment, everything will be fine,” he added.

Speaking about his jumps, the Polish representative admitted that he wants to immortalize certain things with his jumps and create a good mood with good jumps. “The more successful attempts one after another, the better I feel,” he explained.

“I want to jump super, win and be on top, but some things have to stick. Never jump over. I would like to, but it takes a lot of patience.
