Tomas Svionkala posted a photo of Andrzej Ivan on Instagram, and under it a touching description in which he said goodbye to the legendary football player. The journalist admitted that he had never been so difficult to write any record.
The death of Andrzej Ivan shocked the entire Polish football world. The legendary soccer player and bronze medalist of the 1982 World Cup in Spain has died at the age of 63. The reason for this development of events is not officially reported, but it is known that the football player has been struggling with serious alcohol addiction for many years. Immediately after the announcement of this tragic information, records began to appear on social networks with a farewell to the legend of Polish football. Now (for the second time) Tomasz Chvonkala has done it.
Tomas Svionkala said goodbye to Andrzej Ivan
At the beginning of his entry, the Canal + Sport journalist noted that he had never met another person who spoke so much and often about death and did so much to get closer to it. He mentioned that their meetings were very frequent and regular, and blogs were created from them. It happened that Andrzej Ivan did not appear at the appointed places.
“I was always afraid that the next meeting might not take place. Because Ivan never avoided such topics - on the contrary, he often told what was bothering him. “Tomek, damn it, you know how it is.” Andrzej knew that there would be no happy ending, and openly spoke about it. About withdrawal, suicide attempts, ”wrote Tomasz Svenkala.
Tomas Svionkala: Writing has never been so difficult for me
The journalist added that he was always afraid that each of their meetings could be the last, and Andrei Ivan always sounded like he was saying goodbye. He noted that his little granddaughter motivated him to fight demons, and talking about her always put him in a different tone. She made him feel invulnerable.
“Perhaps there should be a strong climax here, but I have never had such a hard time writing. All I can say is that you had a wonderful grandfather. Rest in peace, Andrzej, concluded Tomasz Chvonkala.
