We are starting the 71st 4-Hills-Tournament. In the training series, the Poles made very long jumps. The opponent of David Kubatsky is delighted.
We’ve been waiting for a long time and it’s finally here! The 71st Four Hills Tournament has started, and the first series of training sessions has already proved that we are in for great emotions and an exciting fight. Most of the Poles in training showed satisfactory jumps, but not everyone managed to get into the top 30. Qualifiers are ahead and we already know that a really good show is waiting for us.
Four Hills Tournament. Poles with good jumps in training
In the first training series, the worst of the Poles was Stefan Hula. The 36-year-old landed at 111.5m and placed 48th. Jan Habdas, unexpectedly called by Thomas Turnbichler, did a little better, which can be very nice. The 19-year-old jumper jumped 118 meters and finished 41st.
Right behind the position, which guaranteed access to the second round of the main competition, was Pawel Wonsek. The Pole jumped 125.5 m. Of the top three, that is, Kamil Stoch, Piotr Zyla and David Kubatsky, the last one performed best. These jumpers reached respectively: 123.5 m (12th place), 130.5 m (5th place) and 130.5 m (2nd place). The winner was Halvor Egner Granerud, who jumped 137 meters.
Oberstdorf. Second series of training
Jumpers started from the 15th beam. Jan Habdas improved his jump from the first round and landed 123.5m. Stefan Hula jumped 2.5m further. Paweł Vansek didn’t let him down and jumped the 133 m distance, which put him temporarily ahead. Kamil Stoch reached 130.5 m and Piotr Zyla reached 127.5 m. David Kubacki won the second series with a jump of 138.5 m.
