How did Mr. Kivior put it?
He had great enthusiasm for his work. In addition to the usual training with the team, I worked individually. He has made tremendous progress in a short time. Today I can honestly say that he has excellent technique, he reads the game very well and knows how to position himself. He is agile, fast, good at heading and starts team actions from behind. For me, he is a born central defender, but it is good that at La Spezia he is positioned as a defensive midfielder. Due to the fact that he has less space and time, he must quickly react, make decisions and become more versatile.

Was he loved by the team?
He came to us when about a dozen older players left Zhilina. I bet on youth. Cuba met almost all of his peers at the club. He quickly got in touch with the guys. It is known that he was closest to his compatriot - David Kurminovsky, but everyone liked him. His behavior on the field earned him the respect of his teammates.

How did you feel after Cuba’s debut for Poland in the June match against the Netherlands (2:2) in Rotterdam?
Pride. Moreover, we keep in touch with each other all the time. After what he showed in recent meetings with the Dutch and Welsh, where he showed himself better than the clearly more experienced Kamil Glick and Jan Bednarek, I am convinced that he will rule the defense of the Polish national team for many years to come.
You mentioned David Kurminovsky. In Zilina he scored a lot of goals, but he didn’t score in Danish Aarhus and today he is in Zaglenbe Lubin. Why couldn’t he manage in Scandinavia?
He is an interesting boy. He has a killer instinct. In Denmark, he did not succeed, but this is a kind of men’s league, where the greatest emphasis is placed on strength, almost on hand-to-hand combat. And strength is what David has to work on.
